Oya’s Basket is a community-rooted space offering ancestral Black doula care, nourishment, and education for those on their perinatal journey. We honor birth as sacred, transformative, and deserving of abundant support.

At Oya’s Basket, my mission is to restore care, connection, and nourishment to families by weaving ancestral wisdom with practical, heart-centered support. We create pathways for rest, empowerment, and holistic well-being before, during, and after birth.

I specifically cater to Black birthing women, families, and communities seeking culturally grounded, compassionate perinatal care. Our work centers those who desire guidance, advocacy, and heart-centered support throughout their reproductive journey.
Exclusive Services
This Package Includes:
2 in-person birth prep visits – up to 4 hours total
We can use these visits to create a meaningful birth plan, create a postpartum meal plan, discuss and address concerns, work together on birth techniques, pain management preparation, do guided gentle prenatal exercises targeted for your stage of pregnancy, take time to prepare partner and/or birth support persons, etc. These visits will be hands on and educational in nature.
3 prenatal doctor visits or birth classes - Up to 4 hours
I will accompany you in-person to 3 prenatal visits or 1 prenatal visit and a birth education class of your choice. We can also use this time to schedule a hospital or birth center tour to get acquainted with where you plan to give birth to ensure it is a good fit for you and your needs.
Up to 12 uninterrupted hours of active labor and birth support
I will be present and offering support during active labor, during birth, and immediately after birth until mom is adjusted, comfortable, and safe. I’ll actively work your birth plan as discussed, offering appropriate pain management, encouragement, going through breathing techniques, keeping you grounded, present, and centered. After birth, I will offer lactation support, womb massages to promote healthy after birth contractions, assist with after birth bathroom and shower if needed, etc.
4-6 in person post-natal visits – up to 10 hours of postpartum support over the course of a month and a half
I will come each week to offer in person support during the 4th trimester, for a total of 10 hours. I will continue womb massages, can offer traditional ceremonial herbal baths for both mom and baby if desired, offer sibling support, meal prep and planning, light housekeeping, guided recovery exercises, assistance with baby, just an ear to vent – whatever you need to feel secure in your transition.
All clients can opt to receive a complimentary in-person 25-minute mommy and me sound bath experience and reiki infused postpartum massage during their post-natal visits. Available to in person, full services package clients only.
Whether it’s your first or your 5th, Oya’s Basket is here to offer culturally competent advocacy and gentle, matriarchal support.
I only offer in-person services to South GA and N. Florida. Please check my coverage areas for confirmation prior to booking.

This Package Includes:
8 video calls - up to 2 hours each call prior to birth
To be used/scheduled at your discretion. Subject to availability, must be scheduled in advance.
5 mandatory video calls - up to 2 hours each call prior to birth
These calls will focus on your full birth plan, creating & reviewing your pain management plan, guided prenatal exercises, preparing your support team, building confidence around advocacy for yourself and birth team in the hospital space, general birth education/physiology, preparing your birth bag, setting yourself up for success after birth, and discussing any concerns or questions.
24 hour text support
I will be available for all questions regarding your pregnancy experience, holding your hand along the way. My goal is for you to feel supported and fully prepared as best as possible for your sacred transition into motherhood and your rebirth as a woman AND mother, no matter if it’s your first or fifth.
Phone support during labor
You will be able to either call, text, or video chat during labor, up to 12 hours of support. I will walk you through breathing techniques, assisting through labor progression techniques, advocacy, help you and/or your support team with pain management moment to moment, offer virtual lactation support after birth, and help answer any questions.
4-6 virtual post-natal calls – up to 10 hours of postpartum support over the course of a month and a half or as needed.
Each week, we will have a check in call to see how you’re progressing post birth. I’ll walk you and your support team through postnatal womb massages, help find resources for you if needed, plan out nourishing meals and teas to help your body recover, discuss after birth care and physiology, offer guided recovery exercises, just an ear to vent – whatever you need to feel secure in your transition.
All virtual clients can opt to receive a complimentary private 45-minute mommy and me virtual sound bath experience during their post-natal care calls. Available to virtual, full services package clients only. Private virtual sound bath sessions can be scheduled separately or booked for the small group sessions held weekly for a discounted rate.

IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL CLIENTS. Book your fourth trimester support a-la-cart. This option is good for 3-4 in-person or virtual postpartum visits, up to 8 hours of service. Scope of care includes:

All postpartum clients for this package option can opt to receive a complimentary voucher for the weekly virtual group sound bath meditation at a discounted rate.
